Re: How to handle automatic XML View OData bound errors?

Thanks JSP. What you describe is something that people like yourself and Jason Scott I'm sure would be completely comfortable doing, and I had a similar note from Ram Manohar Tiwari about looking at the implementation behind datajs and my response for that was:

"It's an answer, but I believe you're implying digging into base UI5 code which I'm trying to avoid"...

Surely there should be guidleines about this, but in lieu of this, any sanitzed code you may have to drive a best practice in this area would definitely be worth popping in a blog, if only to drive discussion about how to do this easily.

FYI - Standard ODATA error handling is fine, through use of success.failure events, it's just the automatic binding that doesn't seem to allow a success/failure event to be thrown. It's like technicaly your first page should be a "please wait while loading page" rather than these pages waiting for data that never comes in the case of an error.

Cheers,

Matt
